Will you Ride For Freedom on 2 December 2021?

Thursday 2nd December is the

UN International Day for the Abolition of Slavery 2021

https://www.un.org/en/observances/slavery-abolition-day

To mark the day and to shine a light on the fact that TODAY (almost 200 years since slavery was abolished) almost 50 million people globally exist in modern slavery at any given time, JOIN the revolution and Ride For Freedom.

Here’s the idea:

Every 1 pedal stroke we collectively make on the day represents 1 person enslaved globally.

So, if you cycle for 60 minutes at an average of 85 revolutions per minute (rpm) that’s 5,100 revolutions per hour.

I’m committing to ride for 8 hours (~40,000 pedal strokes) on the day. How many revolutions will you make on 2 December?

There’s no minimum or maximum. Simply do what you can. Afterwards, all you need to do is to let us know how many hours you cycled. We’ll work out the total number of revolutions based on an average rpm of 85. So don’t worry about that.

That’s it!
